52 Inch Ceiling Fan
Have had installed for about a week. Like fan very much. Design is different than other fans I have. Five blades and light unit hanging down with light covers facing up. Do not see bulbs at all. Works well in room where it is installed.

Beautiful Fan, Slight wobble
Ordered and installed this fan with no problems. It does have a slight wobble at the highest fan speed, but I haven't taken the time balance the blades with the provided kit, so we leave it on low or medium most of the time. The 40W bulbs are a little dim, but overall, this is a great fan. We thought we got a steal at $95 - wish we had held out till it was down to $77!

Noisy hum Hunter Fan
The Hunter name is usually a sign of good workmanship and quality. We paid someone to install this fan and found it had an annoying hum to it when it was turned on. So we thought it was a defect, returned it and painfully re-installed another one. It also has the annoying humming sound!!!! It looks good..but that's not the point.

Useless you plan on installing it in a noisy room where no one will notice - don't buy it.

Lawn-Boy 10642
I purchased the Lawn-Boy 10642 to replace my 15 y/o Toro Recycler. Very similar design at lower cost than new Toro.

Pros: 1. Very powerful engine, doesn't bog down in thick grass. 2. Electric start is great. Not required, but after 30+ years pull starting, a nice luxury. 3. Bag design works well.

Cons: 1. Variable speed drive. Off or Jog. Very difficult to maintain walking speed. Would prefer low/med/high settings of old. 2. Drive wheels need more agressive tread. Don't work well on incline. 3. Height settings a bit cheap for this mower. A general gripe re: OSHA safety requirements not unique to this machine. I confess to disabling auto shutoff lever on all machines so equipped...Don't like to restart mower every time bag has to be emptied or kids toys need to be moved.

If an individual doesn't grasp the harm a spinning blade may cause...they shouldn't be using power tools.

Powerful Small Machine
This mower does what is promised; it starts without effort, keeps pace with however fast or slow you walk, and gets you up hill with its strong rear wheel drive. Lawn Boy's customer service is also very responsive and answers back in a short amount of time. Shipping is lightening fast. I bought this product on-line so a description of the product is somewhat scanty as to compared when you actually own it; more details would be helpful. For example, once you have received the machine, the instructions say it has been shipped in mulching mode. On-line description didn't mention this function at all. In additon, the written instructions are also somewhat fuzzy, not saying what the other modes are or how you change from one mode to another. I will probably have more to say once I own the machine longer, but overall I am pleased with this purchase.

electric lawn mower
It worked great for a long time. I loved how quiet it was and how easy it was to run. After a couple of years, I had some trouble keeping it charged. Maybe I did something wrong...I still think it was a great product. I cannot pull gas corded lawn mowers cords. Electric is a great way to go for people like me.

Wish I had bought it sooner!
I did a lot of researh on line and in stores. I read reviews and asked folks a lot of questions. Finally I decided to order this and wow....I'm glad that I did. It's lightweight and easy to use.I'm a woman of 60 years of age so I was looking for something to get the job done without hurting myself. I didn't want to have to mess with gasoline either. I didn't have any problem with the cord once I figured out the best way to mow. My grass is on uneven terrain and the mower maneuvered really well. Another plus....shipped right to my door!

Be very wary of this seller, Polsteins Home & Beyond
I have written to Amazon.com about the deceptive selling practices of this third-party seller. According to the seller, this item has been out of stock since July 28, 2009. Meanwhile, this page shows that the item is "in stock" for the past 9 days (today is August 9, 2009). I placed the order July 7, 2009 since much like today, it showed in-stock status. The seller tells me 9 days later, when I call them to find out what is taking so long, that they e-mailed me a day after I ordered informing me of a backorder. I received no such e-mail. The seller tells me that the item should be in August 11, 2009 and no later than August 12, 2009, yet miraculously it is in stock today August 6, 2009. They never say the item is out of stock since they would lose many orders; they just hope that the item comes back in by the time the customer wakes up. So bottom line is, either make sure that the item is in stock from the seller or order from somewhere else, or you could be waiting a long time for your order.



Update 8/12/09- I see that Polsteins Home & Beyond is no longer listed as a seller on this page. That is a good thing. I finally got the fan, however, like a previous reviewer, the fan that I received is a black Westpointe fan, not a silver Lakewood fan as pictured and described. What fraud.

I was looking for a practically silent fan - this is not it, but it is very close. In fact, I am buying another fan today!

Good for small spaces and travel
I needed a fan when I travel to circulate air on my face, and to use to dry out my ice skates or wet boots. This fan does these limited jobs admirably. Plus it's small enough to pack in a suitcase. My fan never quit, but eventually the stand came apart from the stress of being jammed in a suitcase, hence my need to buy a replacement. Don't expect it to move air more than a couple of feet. My old one rattled slightly, but it was about the level of a snore from a medium sized dog so it wasn't horrible. If it does rattle, the construction is simple enough that you can dampen the sound yourself.

Earthwise 50120
I wasn't quite sure what to expect as I have never used an electric mower before but I have to say that I don't I'll ever go back. It is a lot quieter than the typical grass mower. This mower is solidly constructed and I can see it lasting for years. I have a 18'x18' front lawn and the bag is the perfect size as I only have to empty it once, when I am done. It is great having it start the first time, every time as opposed to the constant yanking on the chord of a gas mower. It is also much less strain on the back. Having the cord attached does take some getting used to however, but is not at all a hindrance as long as you have a long enough cord. The only thing I wish was different was how the release on the handles works. In order to stow it away you have to fold the handle onto itself. This action does require a little force and acclimation. That is my only gripe with this mower.

Quality electric mower
Quite surprised by how well built this mower is, especially for the price. Made of metal, not plastic, and should last for quite some time. Does a great job mowing, with not problems. Did buy this mower with the intention of using it in a little space where I would have to lift it around. It is much heavier than anticipated, so that has become a problem. I will be able to use it for all my moving needs since the quality is as high as it is. Overall, quite a great electric mower!!

great value
This Earthwise mower with grass bag is a great value for the money. It is less expensive than others in the home improvement stores. It is also nice to have a bit larger mower (my last one was 18"). So far it is doing a great job on the grass in my backyard.
